Well...I just got this package in the mail today about the beds at ucla's dorms r gonna b extra-long, so that you gotta order them through this company called campus linens. It's like a order form thingy that has a variety of bedsheets to choose from for your dorm room, and they're giving pplz 15 days to respond to order to get special prices. Just wondering...is this really true at ucla that regular, store-bought sheets wont fit the beds? It sounds like a scam...at least to me. Did anyone else get this in their mail?

yes, the beds are longer than normal twin size beds, but i'm sure many stores (bed bath and beyond, linens n things, etc etc) would carry them. campus linens isnt the only way to buy them, and more than likely overcharging you for the stuff. i tossed that thing in the recycle bin.

linens n things carries them

i tossed it as well. I can't believe the UCs are selling our information.

like VTECaddict said, there are many other places to get twin extra-long bedsheets instead of their recommended store. i bought mine at linens and things but robinsons may had some too.

"I can't believe the UCs are selling our information."

Oh...given the budget situation, I can believe it =)

i'm not sure which brochure you guys got, but i thought the one i got last year was sponsored by UCLA.

Nope, none of them are sponsored by UCLA. At least, nothing indicated so. And I don't think the information was attained from UC.

Yeah I guess we do need extra long linens, and I guess my aunt knew that cause she bought me some as a graduation gift.
