I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to take extra math courses while in high school. As in, a way to take a math class say (Pre-Calc) without doing it through a high school. Reason: my high school doesn’t do any doubling up or anything of that nature…and I really need to advance my math more than it is right now.

Examples: anything online? check community colleges? homeschool (haha)?

I really need more math. I am good everywhere else.

I'd recommend trying a local community college. I went this route when one of my AP classes conflicted with a physics class I needed to take. It shouldn't be too inconvenient, plus it shouldn't be too expensive (relative to online courses). Not only will you get the math background you need, but it'll look good you took the initiative to seek it outside of your normal schooling.

Hello, I got a question about preparation/review for the math placement test we(basic cadets) take in the summer. I'm in AP Calc right now, from what I've gathered alot of people do fine on that section but forget alot of the Trig and basic Algebra. I was curious how much of this is true. Advice for any of these placement test would be appreciated. thx

If you did well in pre-calc and have a good base in Algebra, you are fine. Test wasn't bad at all. Do the practice test from USAFA and that will prep you just fine.

my school offers concurrent enrollment. basically you need to drop 3 classes to have a concurrent enrollment class at a local community college or so. i'm not sure how it is for other schools, but that's how it is here. i'd suggest you talking to your counselors, as they have the best expertise in this area.
