Upon taking the May SAT on Saturday, my first section was the essay (obviously). The second section I had was an EXTREMELY difficult reading section that was the variable. My 3rd section was another reading which I was surprised about since I did not realize you could have 2 of one kind in a row, however not the problem. My next section was a writing followed by a math. The 6th section was another reading, 7th was a math, 8th was a reading, 9th was Math and 10th was writing. Is this normal to have 4 of one section and 2 of another? I was told the extra section is the variable, meaning if you have 4 math or reading (instead of 3) and only 2 writing its because those sections were a variable, and if you have 3 sections of writing its because one is a variable because apparently 3 reading + 3 math + 2 writing and the essay is what equals the score. Is this true? If not, what should I do? Should I call college board or is this normal? Thanks!

The SAT comprises of 10 sections, of which one is an experimental section. So, normally you have 3 writing sections(1essay), 3 reading, and 3 math. Since you had a 4th reading section, one of the reading sections was the experimental
