Do i have to write my birthdate, full address etc... if i am asking a mentor/professional to write my rec and not a teacher?... this is a completely separate rec that is not on the basis of the common app or a universities supplement rec.

anyone have some insight? like im not using their forms or anything... its a letter of recommendation...

send no more than 4 total. Including your teacher rec and your counselor rec. Any more than 4 and there is a chance the admissions counselor will not take it.

my question is how to send it

oh, sorry. lol. I just read the title and skimmed/was stupid.
ok, well, from what I understand, you can just send it in your own postmarked envelopes as long as it has your correct name on it, they should get it right 80% of the time to your files. this is, of course, assuming that it's an extra rec from someone outside of school who doesn't have to waive your right to see the rec and such.

that's the one!

Unless there is 1000000 bagillion people with my name and address (i dont think so)... i doubt my name firstly since im indian lol....

Anyways, i think i will write my address on the top left of the envelope. my mentor has already written it and wrote his name and my name in the letter... ill just send it with my address so university will know who it is.

Thanks hope2getrice for replying man
