<p>optional letter of rec okay for brown? I have a phenomenal letter of rec from my journalism advisor. I know certain schools like NYU just toss the extra letter. thanks all</p>
<p>dont send extra recs unless the school says that you can.. i havent read anywhere on the brown website that you can send extra recs.. though for international students it says to send any number of extra references that would be helpful in knowing the student as a part of the school report.</p>
<p>i e-mailed brown and they said it was fine. i guess it might not be the best idea, but my letter of rec is really good and shows a side of me other teachers may not see.</p>
