<p>hey i sent 2 extra recs from my teachers and guidance counselor for a total of five will they consider that negatively or will thy use that as a tool to assess you.</p>
<p>I hope not negativly, because I sent in 3 teacher recs, total 4 recs with guidance.</p>

<p>i handed one extrarecc in because the teacher knew me for three years while my academic ones only knew me for one and that did'nt affect me negatively, but it depends on the quality of their reccs.</p>
<p>I did research one on one with a physics professor all summer, and had him write me an extra rec. Hopefully that will help me out. My personal statement was also about our work.</p>
<p>I had two academic teachers, and my band teacher. teehee.</p>
<p>I had the required 4A, 4B, and guidance recommendation, plus one from the school yearbook moderator because she knows me very well, plus one from a current Brown faculty member who I had an informal interview with...so I had 2 extra letters too. I was deferred from ED, so I guess they're at least interested! I don't think they'll view your extra recommendation letters as something negative, as long as they're from all different adults who can portray you in all different lights.</p>
