extra stuff on the application

Two questions:

In the "Additional Information" section, could I put in a resume of my musical achievements? Most of my musical doings are outside of school, but they only give room for three, and I have near a dozen... would admissions officers frown upon sending in an extra resume in a specific area?

I keep getting conflicting opinions about this. Would sending in an extra letter of recommendation hurt my chances or help? It would be from a teacher I had freshman year but I still work with in a club.

Thanks

Definitely, that is what the addt. info section is for, am I right?

I was speaking with a Columbia Admissions Officer and they said that if you attached too many, they just won’t read the rest. She didn’t name an exact number, but I’d hesitate.

Usually the additional letter of rec comes from someone outside of your school (to provide insight that can’t be gianed elsewhere): e.g. employer, coach, tutor, adviser, etc.
