I sent everything before Nov.1. I'm thinking about sending an extra letter of rec from a professor who's very close to me. I'm also thinkiing about sending the number of volunteer hours I did, achievements during swim (state-ranked, MHSCAA, etc), and stuff. But I heard that the admissions office would count your application as a regular application is this true?

Are you asking if sending in some optional material after the early deadline would knock your app into the RD round?
As long as you had all the required things in by Nov 1 you should remain in the early notification group. There’s no guarantee that they will look at the optional stuff but it’s OK to send it. I did. Make sure to put your UMID # on every piece of paper.

Yeah…im pretty sure that as long as the required materials were in before the deadline, you’re fine. However, there is no guarantee that Michigan will want to look at or put forward further consideration the extra materials. There are so many applicants that admission officers barely want to go thru all of the required things.
