Does sending a resume help?
What about art slides.. will the art faculty look at it?

i think they actually encourage ppl to send stuff in...on the app, they actually say "you should feel free to supplement your file with anything that will allow us to better understand your strengths...additionally materials might include slides of art work, research abstracts, creative writing samples or portfolios, or musical recordings."

that seems to suggest it could help, or that they certainly will consider it in the context of your application.

ok that's awesome! i sent 14 slides.. and my resume!

silver_wavez -- I've read a lot of your posts, and I am rooting for you. Is Chicago your first choice? My daughter is a freshman and she loves Chicago. She's going back tomorrow. By the way, it might reassure you to know that she sent a resume of accomplishments last year, along with a research paper published in the Concord Review. The research paper received favorable comments from her admissions officer, who commended her on her efforts. So, I think sending your slides was the right thing to do.

Thank you sillystring7!! :)

OOh, I'm glad I sent my extra stuff now!!

Happy new year!
