I'm a US citizen and I will soon be applying for the 2011 Fall term in UTD or UT-Arlington (I will NOT be applying as an international, so please, lets not go down that road)
The problem is that I live in Saudi Arabia and my school does not supply many extra-curricular activities that us students can participate in.

But for all the extra-curricular activities that we CAN participate, I DID participate in. (Like being of the committee of the debate club, president of my class, member of the basketball team, member of MUN (Model United Nations)). About it.

Do you think that the universities I will be applying to will actually consider my case in that it would not be fair to compare me to an American high school graduate (extra-curricular wise)? Since of course, those students can participate in many more activities.

I'm applying for a merit scholarship by the way, which is why I'm concerned.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, and about community service. I don't think there is anything called "community service" back over here (KSA). I can't randomly go to a hospital and ask to help now can I? Everyone would look at me like I'm crazy (I'm serious).
What can I do about that?
