Can you just give me tips on what ecs I should consider doing to get into some competitive colleges? I'm not going to list every single thing I have done for the past two years, but can you just give me some advice and say how good this would look?

Other
Internship with baseball team- do gameday set up and stuff
own law mowing business- mow around neighborhood

Community Service
Over 150 hrs when I graduate

I know I don't have a ton of stuff, but I'm dedicated to the stuff I do

If it matters I'd love to go to Michigan, Wake Forest, BC, or Cornell

I also know I didn't go into extreme detail about them like I probably would on my real college application- this is just an idea for me to see what I should be doing next year

I also know that GPA and SAT/ACT are more important

There’s no formula, patsfan. Do something you find worthy of your time and interest. Find a great job, participate in clubs or sports that interest you. Sample, cut ones out that no longer interest you.

Me? Washed dishes and was a leader in my schools JROTC unit. Got into all schools applied, matriculating @ an HYP. Had great transcript. OK test scores. Good luck to you.

As a former cross country athlete (and current Pats Fan) some of your EC’s just don’t make sense to me. For example, track events are timed. So when you are 1st in a national competition, what does that mean? Did you win a race with a great time?

Now if you are top 6 in high school meets, that seems to be in conflict with 1st in a national competition.

Captain of your freshman cross country team, only begets the questions what happened Soph, Jr, and Sr. year

Cross country team members dont typically run relays so that is also curious.

So without better, specific information I would be inclined to reject your application as the information you provided seems very incongruent.
