Extracurricular activities on common app

ok so on the common app where it wants you to list any extracurricular activities and awards or honors that you have in those activities would it be ok if you still do the activity but the award you won for it was in middle school? For example i have been doing art for about 6 or 7 years but the most prominent(and one of my just few) are worldwide and national competitions. They were for an international company that my dad worked for but since he doesnt work there anymore i cannot enter. Should i still put it because i feel like national and interational "titles" would be pretty important even though they were in middle school with a massive company my dad worked with?

Awards in middle school should not be included in your college application. You will look like you’re grasping for things to fill out the ECs. The fact that this was associated with your dad’s company is also a red flag as the entries were limited to employee’s kids it sounds like.

If you have been doing art intensely in high school, you should take photos of your best artwork, and then post those on a website to submit as an art supplement within the common app. If your art work hasn’t progressed since middle school, then you should save room on your common app for those things that you invest the most time and energy.
