I know to improve your chances of getting into a good school, many on this website recommend doing extracurricular activities that are similar to your intended major. But being from a rural county, and going for political science, I’m don’t really know where to look. I’m student council president, and Vice President of the debate club, and volunteers for the Republican Party in our county. ( Though there is not much to do, the same person wins for the last 6 elections)
So any ideas would be appreciated!
If there isn’t one already, how about starting a club or organization at your high school or in your community to discuss current events/foreign policy/domestic issues? How about setting up a volunteer network to help transport elderly to polling places during elections? Can you volunteer to help at your local polling place on election day or even better organize and oversee a group of student volunteers?
Have a Register to Vote campaign for seniors at your high school?
Model UN?
Also the items you have are very good already!
What are you doing for the Rep party? There must be projects the rep works on, besides elections. Any other politcally connected organizations locally?
