<p>I'm abit confused regarding filling up the 150-word EC Essay. Common app asks for an elaboration on one of the ECs you had, I wonder if one can elaborate on similar ECs of the same nature - for example:</p>

<p>Person X talks about being in the Tennis Club - goes on to describe his experience in the club/ rising up to become a captain - joining a national youth tennis team and goes on the describe his challenges there and his involvement with competitions. He also talked about setting up his external tennis training company where he coaches tennis enthusiasts. </p>

<p>Is this alright for such a short essay - will the scope be too wide? Can this be counted as a single EC under Tennis?</p>

<p>Wont the scope be too wide and unfocused? Honestly it’s pretty hard to go deep with 150 words, at least for me …</p>

<p>Don’t go into much detail about the club itself, or the business. They won’t care. Go into detail about your passion for tennis. The application is about YOU.</p>
