Extracurricular activity question

I am applying to schools this Fall as a transfer student.

When you apply, what exactly do you list about the activity? Do you include how long you did it for? Is it mandatory to say how long you did it for? What other info do you include about the EC? Do activities you have done in high school count?

Job title, duration, and a very brief explanation. Pretty much what’d you’d put on a resume, w/o any of the company info. They do see HS activities and I’m sure anyone who reads the application will put it into consideration albeit it wont really help you that much. Good luck though…PS, they honestly do not care to much unless you have something amazing, just have something good enough that you can elborate on in your essay

I’ve spoken with a few reps who have said that they care about what you have done while in community college not what you did while in high school UNLESS it is something that you still do.

@UCBhopefule16,

so is it better to not list the high school activity if we no longer do it?

Correct. Unless it was something so incredibly unique like winning a gold medal at the Olympics. But something like, volunteering 58789526414265321 hours at a church you no longer actively participate with can certainly be left off.

ok, i’ll be sure to leave things out
