In the “questions” section of the BMC application, there is a question reading: Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences in the space below. (Minimum 50 words, Maximum 100 words).
So here’s my dilemma: my main extracurricular (what I do every day after school) is dance–I’ve been dancing for my entire life, very dedicated/serious, etc. But my CommonApp essay talks about dance, and I’m submitting a dance supplement and dance resume. Should I not talk about dance for this question, even though I’d probably have the most to say about it? Should I talk about being editor of the school newspaper instead?
I’m no expert but if you’ve talked about dance before and have told the, about it say you’re the editor for your school newspaper it shows your school pride and spirit and shows your experience and that you are very adverse
Yes, I would pick something other than dance. They have figured that out about you – so what else is there?
use it as an opportunity to tell them something new about you.
