Extracurricular Volunteering Hours

So I read some College Confidential posts about people with ~200 service hours, I know I have quite a bit, I volunteer 3-4 times a month, but is there a way these hours are validated? I run a charity organization and although I don't spend a lot of time developing it (because we do major events every month or so) I have put in a decent amount of time doing the paperwork for incorporation, 501(c)(3), a book drive, group event at a Food Kitchen, and writing a STEM curriculum for a school in Asia (60+ hours). I also volunteer at shelters etc., but thus far have not "validated" them? Idk how, I could through my schools NHS, but there are strict requirements for those hours.

Tl;DR-How do you guys validate service hours to prove you have done X amount? Specifically when filling out a college application, how do you substantiate the numbers you put down an your application?

There is no need to validate vol hours b/c the colleges don’ t ask. They take your word at it.

Oh Ok that makes a lot of sense, cause I figured it would be too much work for schools to log in all the volunteer hours of each of the students. Thanks!

I have form that I get filled out I do some volunteer work

@tigerman333: ask any of your friends who have graduated HS if a single college ever asked to see that form.
