Is taking piano/guitar lessons considered E/Cs?? And is playing piano for youth worship considered E/Cs as well?

Taking lessons doesn’t really count as an extracurricular activity. However, playing for the youth worship would be.

Of course taking lessons is an EC. If you are putting a lot of time into lessons and practice, then by all means include it. For most schools, it isn’t going to make a big difference, but there is no reason to sell yourself short if music is something you enjoy and taking lessons is one aspect of how you enjoy it.

ECs can be anything you like to do in which you are investing time and effort and are developing competency/expertise in - artists who work alone have an EC. Gardeners have an EC. Self-studying a language is an EC. Bakers who have achieved mastery not only have an EC but are welcome in my kitchen at any time. (I interview for an HYPMS, by the way, so I see lots of kids with ‘non-traditional’ ECs and they are often the most fun and interesting to interview.)
