Extracurriculars and Possible Rescind?

Well, I just realized how stupid I was when I was trying to fill out the spots of my extracurriculars on my UC application back in November so I'm worried about being rescinded (seems like a lot of people are worried about it as well).

1) The two main classes I have in question are Speech and Band which were actually classes, NOT extracurriculars that I had put down.

Now both of these, I did do many "extra" activites, such as after school or lunch practice as well as participate in numerous tournaments and concerts (many were optional but some were mandatory). However, I'm not sure if those things count as extracurricular because they are still a part of the curriculum technically. I put down a huge amount of hours invested into these and Speech really made up the core of my EC's so I'm worried if I got it wrong here, it would be an auto rescind.

Would these be considered extracurriculars that I "lied" in?

2) Also, for my second semester of senior year, I chose not to do 3 activites that I said I would've done on my application (I intended to do them when I filled out my app but not so anymore) and instead chose to do another time consuming club that I didn't put on my application.

How would that impact my decision?

Thanks for your time.

1) In your application, you should have stated what you just told us, that the numerous tournaments and concerts you participated in and after school and lunch practice are actually part of the curriculum. You didn't know whether it was okay to put them as extracurricular activities; how else would they know that you had to do all this? You're fine, you don't need to take back what you said or bother them, but wouldn't it have been better if you had just explained what was going on?

2.) Well, you can't predict the future. You intended to do those 3 activities, so people will understand if you changed your mind. I stated that I would continue tutoring elementary school students and continue my participation in DECA, but I had to quit the tutoring job because my parents wanted me to take an after-school drivers education course. And I basically quit DECA because I was bored. I honestly don't think that the UC people really care. I think if you tell them what you told us, they'd say, "Oh, okay. We understand that people change their minds. Congratulations on your acceptance!"
