We all know that EC’s are crucial parts of college admissions, but sometimes it’s hard to know what we should be doing. I thought this could be a valuable thread if anyone wants to give some insight about what kinds of extracurriculars look good and how we can obtain these “leadership positions” that are so important.
Here’s an older thread w/some good general advice.

But most HS students over-estimate the importance of ECs in that they apply to schools who give no weight to them – yet they knock themselves out clawing for “leadership” when it’s mostly baloney
What you shouldn’t be doing is a bunch of random activities you don’t care about. Quality, not quantity, is more important.
