Hi! I’m a high schooler, and my grades are pretty good etc but my extracurriculars are not really good. I play 2 sports, intern at a hospital, have taken a summer course at Stanford, and volunteer at a local childcare but that’s it. I want to go into medicine/major in biology. I live in the East Bay Area- are there any good medical programs that you can suggest? I see so many people on college confidential who have been on the Board Member of Silicon Valley UN association, done research at Claremont Colleges/Stanford, etc. What other opportunities are there? Also how can I “apply” to receive a major award? I have none right now… ex: AP Scholar, USAMO, etc? Thanks a lot!
