Extracurriculars- Stand Out?

Hey guys!

When I was in 10th grade, I founded a new club in my school as a chapter of Learning Unlimited. Over the years, we have had several events, including a troop letter program in which we gathered over 3,300 letters over 3 years. Furthermore, my club has had a bracelet creating program, which raised approximately $1,500 over 3 years.

Nevertheless, for our main event of our club, we have been working on it for over 2.5 years and we finally plan to execute it in September. The event is based on MIT, Stanford, Yale, Duke, UChicago, and NYU's ESP SPLASH program. We will be hosting the event at PRINCETON UNIVERSITY and expect approximately 1,500 high school students, 200 college students, and 20 college profesors to work with us. We expect a net profit of nearly $25,000, which we are going to donate all to fund a local degenerating library.

Do you think that if my club and I pull of the event, that it will be notable enough to place on college apps? If so, how much impact do u think it will make. Honestly, when I started my chapter, I was a naive sophomore and had no intention of placing this on my college app... I just wanted to make a difference in my community when I learned that our high school drop out rate was nearly 35%! I wanted to inspire a love for learning and education, which is the crux of my club's virtues.

Can you please provide your expertise about the provided information of my club? Thank you.

bump please…

Yes, and it will be seen as a very good EC. Great would be creating a sustainable organization that has spread out and raises lots of money for one good cause like the girl who started the school supplies backpack organization that is now doe at hundreds of schools.
