Extracurriculars?

Hi! Here are my EC's:

Mock Trial-Member (2012-2016); President (2012-2014, will probably lose in 2015 due to school change)
Debate-Member (2012-2016); President (2012-2014, same as MT)

Piano (started in 2012, will continue for rest of high school and beyond HS)

Diabetes research (I'm starting at a lab in August)
Cancer research (planned for junior year)
USABO (2014; I'm probably going to get to at least semis)

Swim team (I used to be pretty obese, and stuff like obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease run in my family. Swimming helped me slim down like crazy and helps me with my health)
I'm also a sophomore representative to the SGA this year.

I'm also going to found the local Science National Honors Society chapter at my school and will create a program that helps connect eager and dedicated students to research mentors.

My first question is, do my EC's show focus? I'm really passionate about science, and speech/debate are really fun. They helped me improve my social skills and public speaking skills, too. I'm particularly interested in neuro/cognitive science, but I also really love diseases. I think it's fascinating how they work and how challenging it is to cure them.

Secondly, do you have any other ways for me to show my passion for science and debate?

Thanks in advance.

Help

If you’re hyped about your EC’s, does that mean you’re thinking ivy or ivy-like? Because ECs are really only important for the most selective schools. And you posted zero about your grades, and test scores…

I’m thinking Ivies/top 20 schools. I really want Duke with an AB or Robertson scholarship. My GPA (UW) is a 4.0, and I have a 36 on the ACT, no Writing. I’m taking the ACT with writing this October, and expect about 35/36.

I expect I’ll make at least National Merit Semifinalist, since my state’s cutoff is relatively low.

I’m only a sophomore, so I can’t tell you much else.

Help please
