Extravagant ways to ask a girl to prom? (ADVICE PLEASE)

Now before about 5 of you troll this, post hear me out.

This girl would definitely say yes if I asked her, but she told her friends she wants to be asked in a cute, creative way. Now I know most of you will tell me to do the usual "don't do anything special just ask her to go with you". However, I don't want to disappoint her. She's human too, she might as well be happy and be able to brag to her friends. Hell if I do something completely original and amazing then that'll help me in the long run than simply disappointing her by simply having a conversation and telling her she's going with me.

** So anyways what are some creative ideas of how to ask a girl to prom that aren't really, really cliche?**

I've used the search function, haven't found anything that is at all helpful or not overly cliche. Also I'm friends with her best friend, so she'll be able to assist if need be.

um…why would you think people would tell you to “tell her that she is going with you”? if some guy told me i was going with him, forget it.

don’t do anything special just tell her she is going with you

Some of the students where I live formulate signs spelling out the question and post them on trees leading up the the girl’s house.

dude just be yourself, seriously

^If she’s fond of creativity though, I’m not sure how well the phrase, “You’re going with me,” is going to work out.

I think only one person read my post.

More than 5, mate. ;)

Anyways, see if you can hire an angelic choir to sing out your invitation to her for the whole quad to hear. If this is supposed to be cheap extravagant :D, then wear boots and a cowboy hat (or other traditional attire of your choice) and be very formal or something.*

*I never strongly recommend that you follow any of my social advice, as doing so is likely to end in disaster. Just remember, though, she said cute, not extravagant.

Thanks Leaf, but our school choir is pretty terrible and i’m sure hiring a choir is too expensive (i’m willing to spend $100 asking her, but i think it’s more than that)

and wartsandall thanks, but that list has been way over used. I go to a school with 4,000 students, so theyve all been done multiple times in the past month.

Someone has utilized the fortune cookie invitation?

Well, what are some of her interests?

scavenger hunt!

it doesn’t need to be extravagant, just creative.

make cupcakes with the letters P R O M ? then your name on the last one on them and give one to each of your buddies to give to her in order.

get her a big cookie cake with PROM WITH ME? on it.

decorate her car?

decorate YOUR car.

dress up like a banana and ask her.

have someone do a singing telegram to ask her.

decorate her locker?

bring her flowers.

chalk it on her sidewalk.

pretty much anything besides text asking her or facebook asking her or “telling her she is going with me” will be good.

One of my friends asked a girl by making a heart shaped pineapple upside down cake with a note that said “My heart would flip ‘upside down’ if you’d go to prom with me”. (Heart shaped pans you can find cheap from Target,or you can make a square shaped cake and a circle shaped, cut the circle in half and put it on side of the square one in a heart shape.) All the girls around loved it, especially the girl being asked. It was super cute and simple. He got it delivered to her in one of her classes on top of that. Just a small and cute way to make her feel special and excited for prom.

Pretty cool way:

Drop off 1 HUGE rock, and 1 small rock at her house. Leave a note that says “Will you go to Prom with me? Bring the rock to school that has the answer.” On the big rock it will say “No Sorry = (” on the small rock it will say “YESS!! = D.”

Or, since I’m on a roll, have her have a sleepover with some of her friends. Make sure they order pizza. Have a pizza made and with peperoni or M+Ms or something spell out PROM? and be the pizza man.

Any other ideas? I’d seriously pay a person $10 if they thought of something creative that is also pretty good

^ Oh please. Make her feel special. Do something cute. Extravagant isn’t necessarily what she wants. She just wants one of those goofy, semi-creative, ways.

I think the rock/pizza man ideas are really cute and funny! haha.

There were a few students last year who got their teachers to add “Susie will you go to the dance with Bobby?” to the bottom of worksheets or tests. It’s unexpected and cute! Then you could appear on cue with flowers or something.

^haha, whoa, that’s so cute! :]

LOL, since apparently no one on here has given u any ‘pretty good’ ideas &/or websites. way to show that you’re thankful for the ideas.

I know a kid that, for Valentine’s Day, went to his school at like, 3 AM and hung a huuuge banner above the school entrance telling his girlfriend that he loved her, so everybody could see it. You could do the same except write “Will you go to prom with me?” on it.
