Extravagant ways to ask a girl to prom? (ADVICE PLEASE)

"are you john from that nice guy vs. bad boy thread? don’t be an idiot. girls actually DO know what we want, especially when we SAY what we want. moron. the girls who say they want a cute proposal MEAN that they actually WANT a cute proposal. so ■■■■ with your twisted logic. "

Jeez, no need to be confrontational, I’m just giving advice that actually works. I have some friends (girls) that always say that they really want a guy to ask them in a cute way to prom or whatever and they’d say no if it was in a normal conversation. I asked one of em upfront “If a dude you liked asked you normal without being cute in any way, would you go with him?”. She basically says “yes lol”. It matters less how you ask and more whether or not you’re confident and she actually likes you. The point is, there’s no need to make it such a big deal and ask in an extravagant way. It’s not necessary and more to the point, it probably won’t even help. It looks pretty weak to bend over backwards for a girl when you’re not even going out or anything. Weak is not a good thing when it comes to girls.

And no, a lot of the time girls, especially of high school age, do not know what they want. Girls always say they want a nice guy. But that’s not the whole truth. They want a confident guy. Thats the primary part. Whether nice or not, they need him to be confident no matter what. That’s why you see a lot of girls with dudes you might think are “****s”, but they’re confident “****s”, and that’s what matters.

I am in no way advocating being an *******, I personally like to go with the nice confident guy route.

i know a guy who came up with a song recored it on a cd then gave it to her friend to put it on after dance and then when we where walking out to her car he was there with a cake the said prom and 10 rose since are prom was tonite…i"m not old anuff

Do they still make polaroids? Spell out PROM? with your body and take them with a polaroid camera, put them in an album, give it to her.

Like what Aerienne said

Use a horribly contrived code and if she doesn’t crack it then just tell her.

*probably a really bad idea

One idea is to give her a t-shirt with a bunch of boys’ names on it, including yours. Your name would be written in permanent marker and the others’ in washable marker. Then she’d be instructed to take the shirt home and wash it to find out who’s asking her.
Or, if she likes photography, you could go take pictures with her and show her some on your digital camera. The pictures could be of you holding a sign saying “Will You Go to Prom With Me?” or spelling that out.
Good luck!

My friend took pictures of pretty objects (flowers, teddy bears, etc) arranged into letters that spelled out “Prom?” and took the girl into a darkroom and developed them with her.

Since the girl likes photography, that might be cute.

Go into school and tell the speaker person who does announcements during the day to announce that you are asking said girl to go to prom with you.

my friend who really loves photography got asked in the cutest way!

her date took 4 individual pictures with real camera film that the photography class uses at school and the 4 photos spelled out him holding big posters with PROM WITH ME ?

Then, he asked her to develop the film for him because he didn’t have time, so when she finished developing it and made a contact sheet (a sheet with the all the small film pictures), she saw the question.

Also, another friend got asked by this guy who wrote Will you go to prom with me? in 52 different languages on 52 different sticky notes and posted them all over her car before she went out at the end of the day

AWWW.
I highly doubt that ALL of these ideas have been done before. I LOVE the dark room ideas, and also the t-shrit idea. but make sure your washable marker looks the same as your permanent marker (:
Pizza man was good too ^_^

Transform E.coli with the pBLU or pGLO gene and plate it in such way that it spells PROM.

Now that’s cute.

take her 2 a chinese restaraunt…make a handcrafed fortune, will you go to prom with me?

For future reference, a guy at my school had a great way to ask his girl to a dance (it was Homecoming, not Prom, but still):

At the football game Homecoming weekend, the cheerleaders went out for their normal boring halftime cheer with signs, each one with an initial of our high school. There’s a funny story about that; one time they had the initials backwards so it said SHE instead of EHS. Anyway, the crowd learned when they turned the signs over that instead of their usual signs, the signs said “Girl’s name + Guy’s name to Homecoming?” in order. It was pretty awesome.

Find out where she parks her car, or what door she exits out of

Paint your car windows with “(name), Prom?”

Leave your last class a little early to get the car in position outside of the door or in the parking lot she parks in.

When you see her start revving your engine.

■■■■■■■■ above this line

serious below this line

What I did was make a little puzzle (of like 6 pieces) and have the janitor open her locker. Scatter the pieces of the puzzle in the locker. My 6 pieces said, 1.(name) 2. How 3. Does 4. Prom 5. Sound? 6. (my name)

Yeah, everyone who heard about it thought i was awesome so do that.

This is how my friend asked me :b

Someone tried to ask a girl out to Homecoming on the announcements.

She said no.

To say the least, it was all around the school (I didn’t even know him), and it was humiliating for him, I’m sure. =(

IC, unless you’re POSITIVE she’s going to say yes, I would recommend a less public approach.

Those customized M&Ms

^ I remember reading somewhere that the M&Ms idea was one of most clich

Ride to her house on a horse, invite her to join you on the horse, surprise her with a mariachi band riding mules as she comes to get on the horse, and then as you ride away have a zeppelin come out that says “PROM WI”. That’s as long as the message can be (I checked), but she’ll get the picture.

^ LOL do it.

I like BOTH of olleger’s ideas!! seriously, Id significantly consider doing the first one! haha
