Extremely high EFC...

<p>My EFC is $50,000, which is obviously more than the cost of attendance at most places. I'm sure there have been similar posts, but does anyone have any advice? We can't afford to pay full tuition at the private schools. Also, my stepbrother got a lower EFC than I did, even though all of our financial information was the same. Was it because he only applied to three in-state public schools and I applied to private colleges?</p>
