I wasn’t going to post but I will! I saw you too Evan, hahaha! I went with the bestie and we were going into the Hall when all the informational sessions were going on, hahaha! Her parents didn’t want us to wait in that long line for lunch so we went a resturant! Yummy calzone (I don’t know what it was really called since it was in Italian).

I knew you were going to ask me! ):! Who knows! I’m not saying anything until Jane-unnie does! Although she claims she knows already, haha! I’m glad you had a great time!

Sugoi! How cool! So you’re going to be waking up at 5:30 tomorrow? Haha! May the faster Internet speeds win! The bestie is actually staying the night since she hates her cable haha! Hope you get in!

Times like this make me want the late night thread back ):!

Sorry…my iPhone was being lame as usual. I was surprised that it had full bars when we were at UCLA yesterday…

Anyways! You did not miss N-A-D-A!!! I will be keeping my promise to you if when I do reveal my school of choice it turns out to be UCLA…until Jane-unnie says something…xD!

<3

Oh shoot…I left my macbook on since Friday…>__<;; I thought it turned it off! boo.

@ UCCasualty
I know EXACTLY how you’re feeling.

For 5 years, through high school and my one year before transferring, I craved that UCLA acceptance letter like a morbidly obese child craved chocolate cake or a cocaine addict craved crack.

And to be frank, I had visited the campus only once prior to applying.

After getting in, trying out the scrumptious food, touring the new but extremely cramped dormitories, I realized that UCLA wasn’t for me.

The transfer STOMP conference was the last straw. Some of the people there were freshmen in high school still.

A few days later, I sent in my SIR to Berkeley.

Good luck with this tough choice you’re making.
You’re determining your future here.

…hahaha…that’s okay, I’m not in any rush. It’s just funny to me at this point! School and Honors are keeping me busy, not to mention work. (: Then summer vacation in Asia! w00tw00t!<3

^
Luckyyyy!!! My cousin and her …“SO”…lol…are going to Hong Kong! (His dad’s family is there, he’s half!) She gets to shop more than I doooooo. ):! xD.

if it makes you feel better…i went to the welcome reception at Cal yesterday and it was pretty lackluster. i actually loved the speeches by the chancellors…it was the student speakers that were disappointing. i have no clue why they chose those particular individuals to represent the Cal student body. They were inarticulate, ill prepared, and did not answer the questions well at all. one of the girls kept rambling on and on repeating the same information over and over again.

but as everyone said, don’t judge the school by this one event. and know you will find the majority of the problems you noticed at UCLA at any UC.
i’m still super excited about Cal…you should just remember the things about UCLA that made you want to go there.

So are you currently attending Cal now or is this something you just did? If you are at Cal now, how do you feel about your decision?

@SeeHerFly

Yeah, I heard Cal’s event was no prize either. But atleast the Chancellor took the time to welcome and congratulate you guys on your admission. Where was Gene Block, Janina Montero, or even Vu Tran during our event? For f**k sake… Okay, I’m letting it go now. However, I just hope that the faculty and counselors are not as rigid and jaded as the current UCLA students made them out to be.
