extremely liberal (left wing) colleges

That's why it's a trend, and not a bianary rule. Perhaps you're an exception, but who knows if your school's women follow the country-wide rule?

I never said it's a binary rule. And yes, I'm an exception. The women at my school(I'm still in high school) range from raging liberal to radically conservative. I might be the most liberal person at school :D

Well, if you're proud, congrats.

You talk like being liberal's a bad thing. And you're from Berkeley. :(

Hehe I don't know if it's a bad thing. I'm very ambivalent. I think most people would call me a moderate. At Berkeley, perhaps I'm somewhat conservative compared to what most claim to be. It's generally liberal here, certainly, but I don't think it's the most liberal campus in the nation. The facebook research I did showed about 12:1 liberal to conservative (I didn't count moderates).

I still think schools like Wesleyan are probably more liberal than even Berkeley

Hmm, I just heard that my friend visitng HMC and staying with friends heard "gay jokes" for the first time in ages. I don't think of it as unaccepting, but I don't think of it as particularly accepting. shrug

[sarcasm]And Berkeley not even on the lists? But of course it's the most liberal school in the world! [/sarcasm]

Here's my ranking for the most liberal states:

DC

MA

NY

MI

Outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan is a very conservative state. I live just five minutes outside of Ann Arbor and my town is dominated by conservatives as is most of east, west, and north michigan

Carleton College is purdy damn liberal.

Yeah, Michigan was like 5 points away from going for Bush.
