<p>Yes, because you are only a sophomore and still have important courses to take that will help increase your scores. Your scores will improve dramatically in the next two years with or without a private tutor. If you are concerned with the National Merit Scholar competition, then you must do well on the PSAT taken during your Junior year of high school. The PSAT, not the SAT, is the qualifying test for National Merit eligibility & qualification. If that is one of your goals, then use a private tutor. If not, then you are doing fine on your own.</p>
