Extremely nervous and losing sleep

Ok so the psat is coming up on saturday. Do i bust my but studying? or what

Every time i go to sleep i wake up because the test is so close. Im half delerious what do i do?

calm down?

uhh I’m kinda studying but not that hardcore yet. It’s just the PSAT.

I’ll study hardcore for the SAT tho =]

Yeah my PSAT is this Wednesday and i’m pretty nervous too. But you’re going to do better with a relaxed mind on test day, so I would just try a practice test so that you will be a bit more confident when saturday rolls around.

True that. Just relax and be sure to get a good night’s sleep the night before the test (perhaps by exercising outdoors the day before the test). It’ll be fine. All these tests are nothing to worry about.

this is a super big thing in my family. Oh well im used to dissapointment in my life.

You should go out for a run or some other exercise, take a tablet of melatonin at bedtime, and sleep as long as you can tonight…At this point, sleep is much more important than how you do on the PSAT…

^-- I agree. probably the most efficient way to do WORSE on the PSAT is by being, as your title says, “extremely nervous and losing sleep.” I can totally understand that standardized tests can be important to families (it was a big thing for my family as well) but you need to move beyond your family’s perceptions/priorities. if you want to live up to those expectations, relax, be confident on how much you (hopefully) prepared, and please please please understand that the P in the PSAT stands for PRACTICE (or was it pre? lol anyhow). GOOD LUCK =)

P for Practice.

V for Vendetta, what is that supposed to mean? Im sorry if i sound a little crazy but 3 and a half hours of sleep a night is having its toll on me. Im going to get some sleep.

Would you guys advise skipping school on Thrusday and Friday and just get a nice sleep break and then study some more?

NO!!! PSAT score will account for very little, your grades for much more!! Just take 2 or 3 sections each day from now till Saturday…it will familiarize you with the test and that’s all you can do at this point anyhow.

are you even a junior?

^lol…

P for practice, S for…singing to make yourself relax, A for…acting cool on test day? and T for try your hardest !!!

^— hahah YES!

If you think you even have a chance of getting National Merit Semifinals, then MAKE SURE YOU GET SOME SLEEP.

Wishing you all a peaceful night’s sleep that leaves you feeling rested on PSAT day, whether that is tomorrow (Wednesday) or Saturday.

Completly focus for a couple hours and take a break. Your frustration is probably the lack of focus you emit.

OP!

It’s 2:28 a.m. (ET) and I hope you’re not awake to read this. :)

You are going to be fine. Your dedication is a really good sign as far as your SAT goes. But your PSAT score is not make-or-break. The PSAT is not going to be a major factor in your college apps. . . just a little icing on the cake and a chance to try out the waters for your SAT. And even for the SAT, you have 2 or 3 tries and quite a few months ahead of you before you take it for the last time.

Don’t worry! I swear to you, you will not be judged on this exam when it comes time to apply to your dream schools. Think of it as a practice, and good luck!
