extremely worried. lives in la, but didnt get a letter

The mail was just delivered a minute ago, but the coveted letter from USC did not arrive. I live in the LA area and a bunch of my friends have gotten acceptances today. I applied for a BS in Music Industry and I thought I had a good chance. Does this mean I did not get in?!?!??! Tell me. Im freaking out!!! Does Thornton release there acceptances later...

their* sorry about the grammar, but i am on edge

same here, I live in la county and received nothing. On the other thread, people reported received acceptance and rejection letters in SoCal. Still, I don’t think that receiving nothing is a good sign.

I guarantee something wills come for you tomorrow. There’s a chance that your letters were mailed late yesterday and your mailmen picked up all their mail for their routes in the early morning. Odds are you guys all have nice envelopes from University Park waiting for you at the post office as we speak.

^i hope thats the case :)

Agreed. I live in SoCal, and some of my friends haven’t received anything either. Hoping it’s just a delay!

^just did the estimated timing thing. If USc mailed express rejection letters/Priority acceptance letters for SoCal kids before 6, they would arrive on the next day, if they are shipped after 6, the acceptance packages would arrive 2 days after mailing (thurs) and rejection letters would arrive 3 days after mailing (fri.). So a difference of an hour could delay the letter/package an entire day. There’s still hope for all of us SoCal kids who received nothing today.

I posted this on another forum but when I was accepted back at the end of January I received my packet 3 days later than someone who lives 5 minutes away

We’ve had acceptances and rejections and applicants who didn’t receive anything – all in our little 10 block neighborhood in L.A. Some of the decisions simply didn’t make it on the truck today.

I also live in L.A (south bay area) and nothing came today for me and a few other people. It is not good or bad just neutral we have to all just wait which I know SUCKS. I called USC and the lady was nice and told me they were mailed in waves hour by hour yesterday so that is what is causing the delay. Ignore all rumors that say the letters are being mailed in waves because they have all already been mailed out.

Hey Rice, did you apply to Rice by any chance? Just wondering, with the name and all…

^awesome, my hopes are back up!! hopefully tomorrows the BIG day. :)
