I'm pretty sure I'm going to fail the third marking period in AP Calc BC. However, I got a B+ and an A- for first and second marking periods, and I'm confident that I can end the year with either a C+ or a B- in Calc BC. Is it possible for me to get rescinded for failing this marking period even if I end the year with a C+ or B- in that class and end with Bs for the rest of my classes?

Usually quarter grades don’t appear on transcripts.

…unless your high school reports them.

Does your high school report quarter grades? Your guidance counselor would know.

Quarter grades don’t appear on transcripts, but they do appear on report cards. I’m not sure if my school will just send a final transcript with the total grades I earned or the report card for 2nd semester which will show the fail.

Will it make a difference if colleges see the F or not? Because the final grade (hopefully a B-) will still be the same whether or not they see the F, and it seems unlikely that colleges would rescind acceptances for a final grade of B-.

As I was trying to say before, we don’t know what they’ll see.

Your guidance counselor could probably tell you not only what the school will be reporting to your college, but also what has happened in the past to students in your school who’ve let their grades crash after they got into college. He or she may even have some experience with this particular college.
