Your class is going to make chances at any ivy unlikely. Colleges know where you rank through many sources from school profile to asking your GC. Even if you went to one of the best publics in the Country (average SAT over 1300 old) if you are not an athlete or legacy, top 5% would be about as low as they go, especially when you're Asian.

how the hell do u have 800s on 5 SAT IIs, a near perfect SAT, and a perfect ACT, 10 5s on all ur APs, high IB scores, plus ur senior schedule looks like the contents of a friggin college library (theory of knowledge, discrete math/linear algebra, *) and UR NOT TOP 10%!?!?!? jss330 is right this is complete bullshit.

You're competitive for all the schools that you've listed, and you probably know that college admissions, for better or for worse is much more complicated than scores and numbers. While your scores and numbers will not guarantee you acceptance (except at Michigan, and maybe even there you might want a supersafety lined up), they will help you earn a serious consideration.

More than that, I want to congratulate you for having a good college list. Too many other posters here say, "I'm applying to all the iviesandChicagoandJohnsHopkinsandMITandStanford," without considering the appeal of each individual school and where they would fit in it.

From here, work on your essays and prune your application in a way that it comes off as clean, honest, and thoughtful rather than too shiny or shimmery from all of the work that others might want to put into it for you.

At the schools that send 30% to ivies and top colleges, the are a huge number of legacies, recruited athletes, the country's top URMs and the rich and famous. It's not the top 30% that go to ivies, trust me.

Columbia (ED)--match
Dartmouth--match to slight reach
UPenn (CAS)--match
Caltech--match to slight reach
U of Chicago--match
Michigan - Ross--safety

If the test scores are for real (I believe they are), he/she will get a chance at probably two or three of the top schools listed here. They will overlook the top 10% ranking based upon the competition and courses being really tough--and based upon the test scores and the ECs being very, very good.
