f=ma exam for physics olympiad?

I heard the f=ma exam for physics only tests you on mechanics. Does that mean studying AP physics B and C only for mechanics will allow one to have a pretty good chance to make semifinals? In addition, I was wondering if any veterans could give me the difficulty of making semfinals. Is it hard and does it require huge amount of study? And for people who have taken exams for USABO and USNCO, which in your opinion (out of all three) is the easiest to make semi and please rank them in order for me. Oh, maybe you could give me some tips on what to study.

imo usago is easy

Anybody with anymore comment?

I’ve taken it as a freshman this school year, and yea, all of it was Mechanics. The difficulty is not so much, since all you really have to do is pay attention in class. I suggest mainly to do mainly old problems to get a feel on it. Most of it is definitely conceptual, (well, in comparison to USAMO). I haven’t done BO or CO (don’t plan on doing BO lol) but I’ve done USA(J)MO, so sorry, that’s the only help I can give you =/

@Tactics did you already take AP physics C or was it just B?

C, but I didn’t take B (too lazy to memorize lol); I guess C helped out more, since it’s mainly Mechanics and EM. If you don’t have a class (I’m assuming), then studying by yourself is still an efficient option.
