F or D?

<p>Which one is better if you had to choose between the two.
What is the difference between the two?</p>

<p>For F, does it get replaced GPA-wise after retaking? So F isnt taken into consideration while calculating GPA?</p>

<p>How about D then?</p>

<p>If you get a D or an F, for the time being that will be calculated into your GPA (D = 1.0, F = 0.0). However, if you retake the class, the second grade will replace your first grade in the calculation of your GPA, although the first grade will still appear on your transcript.</p>
