FA Questions

EC, when you are a “returning student” it will be easier!

For right now, no dragging the heels by your father or the accountant or anyone.
Meet the deadlines, do not not let anyone procrastinate, this is your future you are talking about…

jym626,
[sending it either same day delivery (UPS) or overnight delivery (UPS or FEDEX) then do it. This is not a time to be penny wise and pound foolish.]

That’s what I thought, until I found out this morning that since it is a P.O.Box address, only USPS is allowed to deliver and also that overnight for P.O.Box is not possible. I sent in this morning assuming it will be overnight and hence will be there on March 1st. But learned it will not arrive before March 2nd!!!
Harvard is the only one on my list that requires the March 1st deadline.
Well, I tried my best!

Also from IDOC FAQs:

“The College Board’s processing center is a secure facility and cannot accept envelopes via FedEx, UPS, courier, etc.”

Did it have to go to Collegeboard or would it have been posssible to send a copy to Harvard so it made the deadline?

The IDOC stuff gets sent NOT to the college. It is sent to the address provided by the college board.

I was just trying to come up with a creative way of meeting a deadline :)

Oh yest that is correct, kdog. USPS express can deliver overnight to PO boxes. So… no problem.

^^Now why would I provide false info?
I am just stating my experience at the post office, and the info. was provided by the local post office.
I wonder if you are just speculating or you actually were able to send it overnight.

You probably either (a) got to the PO too late to have the item sent that day or (b) had a clerk with the IQ of a potato.

** edited to add, I have sent packages express mail overnight to a PO box.

Uh, considering I work for USPS I think I know what I am talking about. ;)
