FA

My was accepted with FA $32,000 plus Loan $6,000. Is it OK?

Total $38,000

Yes? I don’t know why it wouldn’t be okay

@lolog123 because I think I still need to pay a lot for this.

What was your EFC on the BU NPC?

My son did not tell me NPC, but my Fafsa EFC is $27,000.

For CSS profile schools the FAFSA EFC is irrelevant.

How much should I prepare for Room plus food for my undergraduate son? Somebody said $14,000/ year and another said $25,000/year. Thanks!

The billable costs for a student living on campus at BU = $66,250… If the $32,000 is a grant, that will bring the billable cost to $34,250, after a $6,000 loan (is this a direct federal loan to the student?) there would be $28,250 to cover in direct billed costs. This does not include additional expenses for books, travel, personal items, etc… or if there are any additional billable fees.

The link below has all the information for the 2017/2018 school year for incoming freshman.

Room is $10,080
Dining plans $5,190

Total room and board $15,270

@ botcom & KatMT thanks! Board $15,270 is not bad for me. However, I was worried about the hidden cost. It seems BU only pays half for my son. :-*
