Facebook Comment - Was it bad?

There's a girl I like and have talked with a few times. We're on very good terms. I don't want to be pushy or overly active with her or anything. I asked her out in the past, but she was "busy studying for exams," which could have been very possible.

She updated her profile picture on Facebook recently next to a basketball player. I (the only commenter), said "Hey he doesn't actually look as tall as I would have expected. Either that or you're tall" And yes she already saw it. No response.

Does this come off as weird or anything? Currently, I have good rapport with her, but I don't want to change that.

I am being pedantic here but need some solace.

Unless you have an inside joke related to that comment, then yes it’s a bit odd. Nothing that won’t be forgotten, though.

SAP strikes again!

What is SAP?

Overthinking.

it does come off a little wierd, but i also agree that it’ll be forgotten

It’s a little weird. I’ve made bigger Facebook blunders.

It`s definitely not something “normal” but not like something really bad. Forgivable.

What I don’t get is why this is on HSL. Apparently you are UF '15 which would make you a junior in college.

Or maybe you enter UF in 2015.

Anyways, its probably not a big deal.

Yeah, I am sophomore at UF.

I posted it here because it’s the only relevant forum I know of…or is there a college life one?

There is a college life forum on CC. Search for it ^

Thanks for the information. Its really helpful message.Thank you…

Oh my God… how will your relationship ever recover from one joke that wasn’t very funny?

It’s a benign joke phrased in a somewhat unusual way. I wouldn’t worry about it. One guy openly and profanely insulted me in several paragraph-long on my Facebook wall a few weeks ago; I barely even think about it and am on good terms with him otherwise. Also, one time I made a joke that referenced “Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg,” a GameCube game from about ten years ago, on the profile picture of one of the most popular girls at my school a while ago (she would never have anything to do with video games) and no one’s even mentioned anything about it.

It’s a little awkward…

Glad I ddont have a fb anymore its just unnecessary drama

If she likes you back, she’ll be happy that you commented in the first place ^^
