Hi

I recently created a group on facebook.com called Prospective Johns Hopkins University applicants...please join it if you are applying next year or even later. I dont want to be the only person in the group. Thanks.

Here's the link:

http://hs.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2476137679&ref=mf

I am not sure what the response to your Facebook group will be and I also don't want to discourage people from joining ... however ...

... do know that the Admissions Office and the students behind Hopkins Interactive will be creating a "special" Facebook group for 2012 applicants later this summer. This will be another of the ways that prospective students and applicants can connect with the Admissions office and current students, and get questions answered.

More to come.

^that is an amazing idea..have they done this in the past?..or is this the first time the Admissions office is going to be making a facebook group?

We have never had a Facebook group for prospective and current applicants, but we are currently using a Facebook group to field questions from enrolling students to the Class of 2011 and it is working quite well.

We all thought that launching a FB group for the applicants for the Class of 2012 was the next logical step in our communication plans -- Hopkins Interactive (http://apply.jhu.edu/hi/), the blogs, the JHU message boards, the chats, etc.... everything is connected.

Stay tuned.

I deleted the group...just so JHU could officialy make it.
