hey guys. i got my password for webmail and all that other stuff, but how come that password isnt my facebook password/. its saying that im not authenticated

you have to register for facebook. Click the register button and then you ahve to register your email and you can make a new password for facebook. It will then ask you to confirm through email.

TheFacebook.com's not actually run by or affiliated with Princeton. As such, it's completely voluntary, but I'd say most people join, and it comes in handy from time to time. There is also an official Princeton facebook at http://facebook.princeton.edu with everybody, which you should be able to access now. However, that's run by the Student Facebook Agency, and it won't be updated with your class's pictures until fall.

I'm finding that, even though I have my OIT NetID and password, I can't seem to login to the "official" Princeton facebook (facebook.princeton.edu). Is anyone else having this problem?

Hmmm, I don't think they've set up our information there. As it says:

So maybe they just haven't entered our Princeton Facebook info yet. Oh well. More time to devote to the real facebook! :D

Yeah, well... I thought I'd at least tell you the Princeton Facebook exists. But I don't debate the fact that TheFacebook.com is far, far better.

I registered for a facebook account as well, but I still haven't received an email as to how I can authenticate my account. It's been like a week.
