Facebook messages from NYU groups

I'm in a few NYU groups on Facebook such as 'New York University Class of 2012' and 'NYU Welcome Week 2008' and they've started sending mass messages to people in the groups. So it might be a good idea for you guys (incoming freshmen) to join them, or get FB and join them in case they say something interesting. FB group walls are also where I found out about explorations floors early.

From class of 2012 group:

Hey Everyone,

Weʼre about halfway through summer and I know everyone is probably freaking out about school; thatʼs why I decided to let you all know about this student service company called DormAid.
Students who use DormAid across the country are spending less time on humdrum tasks and more time studying, socializing, and having fun. Put simply, DormAid customers are more productive, healthier and happier.
DormAid has run operations at NYU for 3 years now; here is a list of their services and products:
1. Personal Laundry /dry clean Pickup and Delivery Service
2. Internship and interview preparation called CareerPrep (prepare for you job with ivy league trainers)
3. Dorm Bedding packages
4. Personal Room Cleaning
5. Dorm Room Appliances (mini fridges, microwaves etc.)
6. Water Delivery Service

I contacted them about telling our facebook group about their service and they gave me a promotional code: NYU2012. Itʼs a $15 off discount towards any service.

I look forward to seeing all of you soon,
Matthew

I don't know what this whole DormAid thing is, but take it from me - you aren't going to want to pay money for people do your laundry or deliver water to you.. no one actually takes advantage of that. No one really ever cleans their room either. Don't pay for people to come in to do that. It is a waste of your money.

Of course. I wouldn't even pay me to do that. :D
