Facebook

Anybody here already have a facebook?

If so, we should make a group for the class of 2011. It sucks though, I think we have to wait until we have an @calpoly.edu email address before we can join their network.

if you can log into MyCalPoly, then you should be able to get your email.
if your login for mycalpoly is mjones01, then your email is going to be mjones01@calpoly.edu

the facebook confirmation email will be sent to the email address you previously specified for calpoly notifications.
hope that helps.

damn, I don't think that worked, I just tried it and I haven't gotten the confirmation email on the one that is linked to my my.calpoly.edu login. oh well, I can wait a few months.

well, theres a bit of a lag.. you should just check your inbox tomorrow.

oh, sweet. thanks man!

When will be able to get our @calpoly.edu emails? I want a facebook, lol.

You can get a facebook without having to be in college. Just get one from http://hs.facebook.com You can later on add yourself to Cal Poly's network once you get the email address.

Awesome, thanks.

Yeah i've been on the Cal Poly network for a few days, there's even an awesome group of all the Class of '11 people! woot!

I have always thought of college as an escape from high school. Whats up with bringing pointless class spirit to college? People need to grow up

^ haha i agree. But I like the community aspect of facebook and SLO students, though.

well, class spirit or not, here's the link to the cal poly 2011 fb group
