I took the October 3, 2015 SAT and received the following score breakdown:
Critical Reading: 770 (3 Wrong)
Writing: 790 (11 on Essay)
Math: 740 (2 Wrong)
Seeing that many colleges disregard writing, I’m upset that my math would look weak compared to the other sections.
As you all may know, tomorrow is the LAST day to register for the December SAT, or the FINAL SAT that seniors can take and send in to their RD Schools.
Do you think it’s worth it to try for a better math score?
how many times are you going to repost this. Unless you’re applying to MIT don’t retake it, it’s a ridiculous question.
^Right. I think OP has plenty of good responses already.
The only scenario I would consider retaking is if you’re applying to Caltech/MIT or another top math/engineering school, and if you know you can get an 800 on math. In other cases, don’t retake - use your Saturday for something more productive.
Even then, an 800 on a math subject test should easily compensate.
