I think the hurdle as far as Ohio requirements is the OGT testing. This appears to be like NY State Regents exams maybe? There is a list of alternative ways to meet the testing requirements.

I don’t know what’s required to meet the financial literacy requirement, but I can conceive of many kids who might not have that base covered. Additionally, not all kids would have a year of fine arts in grades 7-12 or one semester of US government.

I don’t think the requirements are all that onerous. I do think someone who transfers in senior year might learn she has to take a required semester of non-AP US government, a course in financial literacy and a full year of fine arts, in addition to math and English before adding the AP courses she wants to take. If every other senior has already taken most of these, it might not be that easy to schedule them without conflicting with other courses she wants to take.

And then, yes, there are the testing requirements. It looks like if she does transfer she might want to take some tests this summer before school starts. It would be good to look into what’s involved now.

In Cincinnati check out Ursuline Academy if you are willing to pay tuition. They only report letter grades but the use +/- and a 98.5 is an A+ so if indeed she has all 99% than she would have all A+'s. They do not rank. Taking 7 AP’s would not be a possibility though. Their honors classes are very demanding as is. There is really no reason to take 7 AP’s senior year. Relax that one!
