Fact: 4 College Units in Summer Q: Transfer or Freshman?

I apologize if you've seen this before, but it didn't get any traffic. I must have posted it in the wrong subforum. Please, don't spam this! I hope to know soon.

Anyways, I'll be taking a summer class at UC Berkeley this summer. I'm applying (and reapplying) to schools that I either didn't pay attention to or applied without taking much care into my app.

I had so many errors :( -- that's soo not me. And for a reason: I was recruited to play a sport at a school that didn't use the Common App! I was sure I'd get in. I was deferred and rejected. By then, it was too late to make changes to my app. I'm not looking back anymore.

If I take a summer course at UC Berkeley for 4 units (Chem Intro and a Lab), will I be able to still get that exclusivity of being a Freshman not Transfer applicant at top or similar tier privates like H, Y, P, Northwestern, U Chicago, Emory, MIT, Ivies?

OR, if there's a way to get around being a transfer like simply auditing the class for no credit or record, should I do that? OR even, should I avoid the risk and drop the course?

ADDITION: I won't be spending my summer in the Bay Area doing nothing! There are plenty of organizations to work for; I'll do my best to make a positive impact on my (hopefully) brief stay! My essays and app will be totally different (esp. with AP scores).

Thank you! Every bit of advice will be taken seriously and respectfully :)

Some places will consider you a transfer with 1 credit after HS. Others won’t consider you a transfer until you have a full year of credits after HS.

You have to check each and every website for the places you might apply to, and find out what they would do with you.

If you are in doubt, withdraw your enrollment early enough to not generate any academic record at UCB. Even a Drop will be reported on a transcript that you will have to explain in future applications.
