I heard that one of the most important times of your academic career is the third marketing period of your junior year is this true????

“the third marketing period”
That’s funny :D.

But, that’s sort of right. From what I’ve read/heard colleges tend to weigh your performance like this:
Freshman Year: 20%
Sophomore Year: 20%
Junior Year: 40%
First Semester of Senior Year: 20%

So, “third marking period” doesn’t mean anything, only your final grades matter in each of your classes. But those final grades (during Junior Year) are usually looked upon as some of the most important during your high school career.

Junior year is a very important time for college applications, as it is the last full year before you apply. However, “third marking period” is usually no more important than “fourth marking period” (depending on how many marking periods you have).

I don’t know where you got this, but it seems suspect to me. Sophomore year is more important than freshman year (and some colleges don’t consider freshman year at all), and senior year (if applicable) is more important than freshman year.

I’d over a counter model, but truth is, there is no model, because no such thing has been released and no such thing would pertain to all colleges.
