factual errors

hey on the dbq/frq, if i have the main idea all right with specific examples, but have a minor factual error somewhere in my essay, will i be penalized? i don't mean an error like George Bush was the president in 1800, more like something like abraham lincoln was killed at X's Theatre instead of Ford Theatre. i hope that makes sense haha i just mean if i have a minor error, is everything cool?

yeah.... same question...what if i said KENNEDY bombed laos and cambodia? x_x

then you die.

me too! i said eisenhower was the one who declared gulf of tonkin resolution!! what happens if you do that??

I said MacArthur fought in Vietnam instead of Korea.

i said Jamestown was in Mass.Bay area and not in Chesapeake.
i think thats a major error :X
i made another error on that frq too .. i mixed up the European settlers (like Fr. instead of Sp.)

but i was looking at grading rubrics, and a 5 is if it "contains major errors" so I'll be lucky to get a 5 on that essay... =/

to pwnies: i'm pretty sure an error like that is minor. it doesn't 'disrupt' the rest of the content
im not sure about the other ones you guys said though. i guess it depends on the context.. cross our fingers graders will be in a good mood

its only a major error if it "disrupts your conclusions"

I said Nixon was the president during the Vietnam War.

Technically it's not a mistake, lol...
