Faculty/Major/Honors Program

gosh i'm creating so many new threads but i have so many questions! i know that honors is more intensive and more in depth than major and major more than faculty program but do i still get a bachelor of science degree if i do a faculty program? i really don't get what's going on. see i wanna do a major or honors program in the department of science but would i have time to pursue a minor in management or french? i checked out the curriculum for a lotta programs and there are soooo many courses u have to take! the only time that they mentioned u could get a minor in another faculty is if u did a faculty program.

hmmm, I am not really sure. I will look into this since I also want to pursue a major/honors program in science while doing a minor in either management or music...I'm meeting with an advisor hopefully later this month, and I'll let you know what I hear :)

oooh okay! thank u so much!!!!

hey harpgirl, i got an email back from an advisor and she said it was possible. she told me to refer to these pages in my undergrad calendar. i'm assuming the calendar is coming in the mail?

yeah :) Though if you give me the pages I can tell you what they say, since I have the calendar.

okay she says: Please refer to page 307, section 12.3.5.3 and page 314 section 12.11.6 in our 2005-2006 Undergraduate Calendar.

12.3.5.3:
In addition to the above degree programs, students in the Faculty of Science may select a Minor or approved Minor Concentration program. These are coherent sequences of courses in a given discipline or interdisciplinary area that may be taken in addition to the courses required for the degree program. Science Minors consist of up to 24 credits. Arts Minor Concentrations consist of 18 credits. A minimum of 18 new credits must be completed inthe Minor or Minor concentration.

12.11.6
This section and section 12.11.10 are lengthy lists of all the programs you can do honours/major, or minor programs in. Pretty much anything you might want is available.

Hope this helped!!

helps a lot!!! thanx! so would management be an arts or science minor? also i was looking at the department of physiology, which what i think i wanna do, why are there like 15 courses per year and so many credits?? do we have to take all these courses on top of another min of 18 for a minor??
