FAFSA - 2009 $2400 Unemployment Deduction

Can I deduct the new 2009 $2400 unemployment compensation deduction allowed by the IRS and report the balance of my 2009 unemployment compensation on the FAFSA? I checked the IRS 2009 Form 1040 and the deduction is allowed right where you enter the unemployment compensation before the AGI. Hence the AGI reflects the deduction.

Thanks in advance for any help on this issue!

I think you would have to report it under untaxed income. It is not listed as an untaxed item you can exclude on FAFSA.
