fafsa 6+ colleges

anyone know what to do about this? i want ot send it to more than 6 and i kind of know know how this works.

if the process is like select 6 now and send the rest seperately. im applying to 4 instates, and 6 out of really hard states. out of state = really expensive
instates = not as expensive, more than likely will go.

which should i make my 6 be?

theres an answer to that on the FAFSA FAQ. what i did was I did a corrections FAFSA and submitted it again, replacing the original schools with the new ones.

oh that's cool, i didnt see that? does it take long to make a corrections fafsa?

Sent in the first six (decide which ones by checking the deadlines for each school) . Then AFTER you receive the SAR (by email should take about 2-3 days) go in and make corrections, deleting the first six and adding the rest.

hmm.. remailing a SAR to 4 colleges seems more burdensome than just resubmiting twice. if its as easy as the 2nd choice sounds

I spoke with the College Board, then a couple of the schools my d sent the fafsa to. You have to be very careful, because some schools wait and get all of the fafsa info at the same time. Two school said they would not get info until March 15th. We sent a copy of the printed-out fafsa online to the rest of the colleges, and they can get the info using her DRN (top right corner or print-out). I don't know why they don't make it easier, and let you submit more colleges than 6!

that's so confusing, has anyone ever just sent faxes?
